Payment Settlement & Cutoff Times
Payment settlements differ by payment rail and end-user type.
Individuals:
- Push-to-Card (Visa & Mastercard Debit Cards): P2C payments will settle same-day, 24/7 with no weekend or holiday restrictions.
- RTP/FedNow: RTP/FedNow payments will settle same-day, 24/7 with no weekend or holiday restrictions.
- Same-day ACH: ACH payments will settle same-day on business day when sent prior to 4:00 pm ET on business days. ACH payments will settle the following business day when sent after 4:00 pm ET on business days or on non-business days.
Businesses:
- Next-day ACH: ACH payments will settle on the next business day (T+1) when sent prior to 4:00 pm ET on business days. ACH payments will settle the day after (T+2-5) the following business day when sent after 4:00 pm ET on business days or on non-business days.
- For example:
- If an ACH payment is sent at 2:00 pm ET on a Saturday, it will settle on the upcoming Monday (or Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday).
- If an ACH payment is sent at 6:00 pm ET on a Tuesday, it will settle on the upcoming Thursday (or Friday, if Thursday is a holiday).
- For example:
- Wire: Wire payments will settle same-day (typically within 90 minutes) when sent prior to 5:00 pm ET on business days. Payments sent after 5:00 pm ET will settle the following business day. Non-business days refer to weekends and Holidays.
Please note, transactions must be sent before the Trade Settlement cutoff times in order for outgoing payments to be processed.
For example, a business looking to transfer USDC to USD and pay out the USD via wire must send the transfer before the trade settlement cutoff time of 1:00 pm ET on a business day to guarantee the wire will be sent by the payment settlement cutoff time of 5:00 pm ET.
